Seattle Vehicle Age Requirements are Changing in 2018
The City of Seattle and the City of Tacoma require that all ridesharing vehicles be 10 model years old or newer.
To continue driving with Lyft, you must switch to or add a 2008 model or newer vehicle to your account via the Driver Dashboard by 1/1/2018.
If you are currently driving a vehicle that will no longer qualify but you have a valid for-hire permit, you are allowed to continue driving with that vehicle until your for-hire permit expires. Upon expiration of your for-hire permit, you must either switch to or add a model 2008 or newer vehicle.
Learn more about your options below:
1. Switch your Vehicle
If you already have an approved vehicle in your profile that is model year 2008 or newer, simply select that as your primary vehicle. Find out how here.
2. Add a New Vehicle
