Our latest #WeekendChallenge invited passengers and drivers to enjoy the journey together – specifically, the 1981 power ballad "Don't Stop Believin'." You captured the magic moments on camera, and we mashed up your submissions to create one unforgettable community music video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HC96srV_60
San Diego's own KaraokeMoodLyft even rallied the San Diego drivers around a midnight train for a full-fledged musical production, featuring LuaLyft, PirateLyft, the LoveLyft, and some actual strangers waiting up and down the boulevard. What are the odds she'd pick a spot that happened to be next to a Burning Man event? Great roll of the dice, Vanessa!
Chicago Drivers Reach Out to their Community
Windy City Lyfters prepared for an event at the Chicago Urban League meant "to increase our ability to serve the underserved areas of Chicago," driver Marcus tells us. The community street team hit up Maxwell Street Market to spread the word — and some referral cards!
Sunshine, Smiles, and ’Staches in LA
Drivers in LA were faced with a simple question: Shall we go on an amazing hike today, or tomorrow? The response was divided, so LA's Social Chairs decided it would be best to hike on BOTH days!
What fun events are you planning in your city? All you need is a quick Lounge post to get the ball rolling on good times.
Fab 5 Feedback
From Mary to Waqar in Dallas:
Waqar is a wonderful driver and over the past 3 months or so has actually become what I would consider a friend. Always courteous, and he even remembers my destinations. Both my boyfriend and I have been avid supports of Lyft since November, and are still spreading the word. We ♥ you guys.
From Darren to Lena in Washington D.C.:
She brought my umbrella back. Thank you!
From Nathan to Kevin in San Francisco:
This guy is simply phenomenal! He helped us come up with the best bar names ever and entertained our conversation with open enthusiasm. What a swell individual. Bar names: the proletariat, the hive (my favorite). See you at the proletariat.
From Jennifer to Brendan in Baltimore:
Really friendly and knew about our hometown as well as Baltimore--what are the odds?
From Devin to Chad in Denver:
Have a blast in China!! You're super rad!!
Best of Twitter
@lyft driver offered to play our own music, took us through TBell and handed out fist bumps. Also, both rides were free. Pretty rad.
