This weekend was another one for the books. Phoenix drivers came together to help out a stranger, a San Francisco Mentor popped the question, and some of our SoCal crew threw a bonfire farewell to one of their own.
But First Let Me Take a Selfie
Everyone has a pre-Lyft ritual. For the #WeekendChallenge, drivers nationwide showed us how they get ready to slide into Driver Mode.
CJ, known as Supalyft in San Francisco, gets his electrolytes with some Gatorade before he gets ready to hand out fistbumps.
Cassie takes a minute to look up and breathe in the Boston air before she hits the road.
Ryan in Denver gets pumped for a night of Lyft with full tank of gas.
OC nightcrawler Erin makes sure to stays energized with a cup of Joe before every Lyft.
The Sweetest Start (Congrats, Part I)
As the pre-Lyft selfies flooded Facebook, SF driver Jason captured this special moment right after he popped the question to his girlfriend and fellow Lyftmate Lara.
He writes, "I met my lovely fiancée trying to coach her on mentoring and reinforcing the amazing driver she is. We hit it off instantly. We went away on a trip to Napa and I proposed to her by the GG Bridge. If it weren't for Lyft having the community of helping each other, we never would've met."
This adorable couple even has their own pre-Lyft ritual. "Before our shift, we give each other a kiss and wish each other good vibes and plan out our strategy for the night. We check in as the night goes by to make sure all stays awesome."
SoCal Soaks Up the Sun (Congrats, Part II)
Drivers in LA took a water break at Doc Weiler Beach, complete with a bonfire for hot dogs and s'mores. The shindig was made extra-special when drivers had the chance to say goodbye to Niki. She's moving to San Francisco to join HQ!
A Spin on the ’Stache
Petris took the ’stache for a different ride in Milwaukee, biking across Hoan Bridge during the United Performing Arts Fund Ride for the Arts.
Toni and her fellow Phoenix drivers used some downtime to turn some strangers' day around. "A few of us Lyfters helped two young ladies who didn't know what was wrong with their car," the thoughtful driver writes. "Lucky for me I had jumper cables, and the guys were there to help assist!"
Lyft Austin Joins the Family
You heard correctly: The ’stache has finally landed in Austin, and we're bringing you the full scoop.
