Everyone knows Lyft drivers go above and beyond for their passengers. But sometimes the tables turn, and it's the passenger who goes the extra mile to put a smile on a driver's face. Here are just a few ways our front-seat favorites have continued to prove that Lyft passengers are the best passengers.
Passenger Turned Bestie
Elizabeth's passenger has become one of her best friends. When she first started driving with Lyft, she picked him up and found that he recently moved to LA from Mexico. He asked if they could hang out because he needed friends and really liked her energy.
The pair now does everything together, from hiking to beach days — and not too long ago, they even went to a country concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
During an everyday conversation about his hometown of Darwin, Australia, driver Brian in San Francisco discovered that his passenger's dad was an old friend of his from high school in the mid-’60s! The two lost touch when they each moved to the states at different times, only to find out that they now live within driving distance of each other. They've since reunited and hang out from time to time.
A Sprinkle of Happy
Brandon's passengers in LA were so happy with their ride that they bought him a cupcake from Sprinkles, a Beverly Hills hotspot.
On his 100th Lyft, David's passengers were so excited, they wanted to celebrate. They took him along to a San Jose Sharks scrimmage!
Last year in San Francisco, Carlo got along so well with his passenger that they gave him an extra ticket to the last 49ers game of the season.
Melissa in Dallas had a passenger unexpectedly bring her flowers as thanks for taking her around town to run errands.
Heather in Atlanta was pleasantly surprised when her passenger handed her this arrangement just for being awesome.
The Lunch Crew
Jesse in Denver had a pair of Louisville drivers as passengers in town for a conference. On their way to Cherry Cricket for lunch, they invited him to join — and he did!
Kim in Atlanta likes to pass the time in between rides by creating music to upload to SoundCloud. One day a young rapper hopped in her car, and she told him about a song she created called "I'm on My Way." He asked for the link and later contacted her to see if she'd be interested in having him rap on her song. She was, and the rest is musical history.
