Golden Fistbump Winner: Julian in New York City

March 11, 2015

This week's Golden Fistbump Award goes to Julian, who went above and beyond for his stranded passenger.

Stephen was driving himself to the airport in his girlfriend’s car. He was already dangerously close to missing his flight — and then one of the tires blew out on the highway.

With the minutes ticking down to his plane’s departure time, Stephen pulled the car into a parking lot and hurriedly requested a Lyft ride. The driver, Julian, showed up to save the day (and earn himself a Golden Fistbump Award).

With Julian’s help, Steven would make his flight, but still had one hurdle in his way: his girlfriend’s car keys. Steven needed to return the keys to his girlfriend’s family, but had no time to do so. After explaining his predicament, Steven realized that Julian lived in the same neighborhood as the girlfriend’s family. Small world, right?

Julian kindly returned the keys to the family. Stephen made it on his flight, and the stranded car was put back in good hands. Thanks for helping out a new friend, Julian. That’s exactly what the Lyft community is all about.
