Boston driver Gabriel is a concert producer, consultant for artists, and an open mic performer. He recently combined his talents to encapsulate the Lyft experience in song.

What do you do when you’re not behind the wheel?
At the moment, I’m deciding where to move next. For the past few years, I’ve been writing my own music and traveling for music videos, events, concert production, and open mics here and there.

How’d you get started in the industry?
I first got involved with music by joining a Mexican cover band, called Maná, in high school.

How has Lyft allowed you to pursue music?
Lyft has given my great flexibility to think, plan, travel, and perform without having to commit to a 9-to-5 job. It’s put me in contact with amazing people from all walks of life that regularly inspire me to try something new. Hey — Lyft even inspired me to write a song:
