It's a well-established tradition for Lyft drivers to make a difference in their community. This winter, our Nashville family went the extra mile to lend a helping hand.
As Lyft drivers, we have the opportunity to drive around, so we see a lot of need in the city.

Seeing a need during one of the city's coldest winters, Ralph S. organized his fellow drivers to create what he calls Lyft Kits — backpacks filled with blankets, food, toiletries, and other essentials. The drivers started delivering them to the homeless, and Matt R. put together this video to showcase their volunteer efforts:
"Watching one driver's idea grow into the fabric of Lyft Nashville's culture was pretty inspiring to me, and I hope it inspires you, too," Matt tells us. "My hopes are that this video will be shown for years to come as a 'look where this all started' type of thing, in all of our communities nationwide. How cool would it be if Lyft Kits grew to all of our cities, and got bigger and bigger each year?"
