We know you strive to make all passengers feel safe and included in your car, which means you already get our anti-discrimination policy. But in case you haven't seen it in writing before, let's review.
Here's the legalese: Unlawful discrimination includes discrimination against passengers or drivers on the basis of race, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, age, or sexual orientation.
In short, everyone deserves a 5-star ride.
Passengers With Service Animals
All service animals must be reasonably accommodated by Lyft drivers. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures everyone, including passengers with service animals, have access to the Lyft platform.
In many cases, passengers will call you in advance with a heads-up about the animal, although they’re not required to do so.
If You Absolutely Can't Pick Up a Furry Companion
Good news: Most service animals are hypoallergenic and highly trained. If you're still unable to transport one of these companions, call our Critical Response Line at 855-865-9553.
Remember, refusing to transport these working companions is unlawful and puts you at risk of being removed from the Lyft platform. Our biggest priority is making sure passengers and their service animals can get a safe, friendly ride.
