No-shows are no fun, but we've made a few improvements on the app. In our next release for both iOS and Android, you no longer need to wait for your summary email to see if you've earned $5 for your time. If you've arrived, waited three minutes, and called your passenger, the option to charge a cancelation fee is in your hands.
Remember, to qualify for a cancelation fee, you must follow all three steps:
- Wait three minutes.
- Call your passenger through the app.
Otherwise, you'll only see the option to cancel the ride, and your passenger won't be charged. You should use this second option sparingly, since canceled rides are always unpleasant on the passenger's end. For a refresher on when it's appropriate to cancel, review our cancelation policy.
We hope your passengers are always ready and waiting when you arrive, but in case they aren't, enjoy a little peace of mind with this improved app experience.
P.S. If for any reason you don't want to charge your passenger after you've arrived, you have that option as well. We trust your judgment!
