The season of gratitude is upon us, and Lyft drivers across the nation have carried on a second year of our favorite tradition: #Lyftsgiving. From food drives to potlucks, you guys are inspiring us left and right (and down the middle, if you're a Midwesterner). Here are some highlights from last weekend alone! Boston drivers brought their own dishes to a Thanksgiving-themed meal, complete with all the fixings.
Los Angeles drivers began their Lyftsgiving by handing out brown-bag lunches to the homeless in Venice. Each bag contained a turkey sandwich, gravy, stuffing, water, and even pumpkin pie. One driver said, "The homeless were so grateful, and our hearts were full."
Drivers in Detroit got together for some eats of their own, and collected canned foods for a local charity. They also wrote down things for which they are grateful, and hung them on display.
San Francisco drivers got together unofficially to break bread and share stories. The real Lyftsgiving for these guys is on Wednesday, in case you're in the City by the Bay.
Drivers in Silicon Valley participated in a Toys for Tots drive with Alice 97.3FM.
In Virginia Beach, drivers got together to dine and donate over 100 pounds of food to their local food bank. Pretty awesome!
We've got more Lyftsgiving celebrations around the corner, so be sure to check out our events page to see if there is one coming up in your city.
