Arizona Drivers: Use Our Designated Zones This Weekend

With a handful of festivals and fairs on the agenda, you have major opportunities to earn this weekend. Keep these maps handy to make sure each pickup and drop-off goes smoothly. 

Arizona State Fair

The State Fair will take over the northeast Corner of 19th Ave. and McDowell through Oct. 30, attracting concerts and events to the Arizona Veteran's Memorial Coliseum. Expect high demand from 12-9 PM Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and 12-10 PM Fridays and Saturdays.

North Side: 19th Ave. and Monte Vista Road

South Side: 17th and McDowell

Arizona Taco Festival

Head to Salt River Fields, just off Via de Ventura and Loop 101 in Scottsdale. The festival is open Oct. 15-16 from 11 AM-6 PM, with increased demand for pickups from 4-6 PM on both days.  

Pick Up

Exit Loop 101 on Via de Ventura. Head west to 90th Street, then turn south. Turn right when 90th Street ends, and you'll see a pickup spot to the left. To exit, continue west to Pima, then turn north to Via de Ventura and east back to the 101.  

Rainbows Festival

This fest is held at Heritage Square in Downtown Phoenix from 10 AM-6 PM Oct. 15-16. There are two primary entrances to Rainbows near 5th Street and Monroe, or 7th Street and Adams. You can expect increased demand for pickups in the area from 4-6 PM on both days. 

Pick Up and Drop Off

Head to Monroe Street, east of 5th Street, or 7th Street & Adams, in front of Rose & Crown.

Boo! Arizona 2016

Hosted by Relentless Beats, this festival is at Rawhide on Saturday, Oct. 15. The festival starts at 6 PM and runs until 2 AM. Expect passengers to start heading home at around 1 AM. 

Pick Up and Drop Off

Exit I-10 on Wild Horse Pass Blvd. Turn west, then south on South Maricopa Rd. Turn north on 48th Street (not Wild Horse Pass Road, since traffic backs up there), then east on Wild Horse Pass Road, then north on SE Loop Road. Enter the dirt parking lot to pick up or drop off your passenger. 

Exit the lot on SE Loop Road and turn north, then west on W North Loop Road. Turn north on 48th Street again, then west on Willis and north on 40th Street to Pecos Road.

Ironman 70.3

This is a half Ironman, in preparation for the full event in November. Both the biking and running courses wrap around Tempe Town Lake, with numerous road closures on both the north and south sides of the lake. Each leg of the Ironman begins near Rio Salado and Ash Avenue in Tempe.
