Thank you for being a hero on the road this holiday and helping riders get to where they’re going safely. Here’s your guide for when and where to earn over the long weekend.
Get set for stars, stripes, and big earnings! Expect higher ride requests (and flag-waving riders) throughout the weekend, starting the evening of July 3. Demand will peak on Thursday — when July 4th falls — between 8 PM-11 PM.
Now that you’ve got the best times to drive, here’s where you can expect more passengers requesting rides:
Fireworks displays: Boom! As dusk falls, get set for ride requests to local vantage points as people head to the best places to catch the fireworks.
Parades: Get familiar with your city’s parade route and schedule to get ready for rides. Check local listings to make sure you don’t miss out on rides.
Residential neighborhoods: For revellers that want to avoid the crowds, house parties and barbecues with friends are more their speed. That means more ride requests for you and maybe a few added stops at the store.
Local bars: Starting July 3, be prepared for increased demand for pickups and drop-offs at popular bars as locals make the most of the (extra) long weekend.
Be a champ for your riders: Keep extra chargers and water bottles handy to score better tips (and high-fives) from passengers.
Take breaks during down times: Between parades or drop-offs about town, simply tap ‘Online’ during a ride so you don’t get matched with another passenger.
Keep safety top of mind: We know there are times when it's perfectly reasonable to cancel a ride. If you do this, make sure to reach out to our support team so they’re aware and can review the request. Learn more here.
