This may sound familiar: Your passenger gets in the car and makes a request to pick up a friend or their dry cleaning along the way. It seems like an easy adjustment, but diverting from the route shown in the Lyft app can be challenging. Now, passengers can add another stop directly in the app and Lyft will instantly update the route — making it a seamless experience for you and your passenger(s).
Get Paid to Stop
When a passenger adds a stop, it’s a longer ride, which means a higher ride fare. It’s the same experience you’re used to, with one extra stop. Plus, there’s a bonus: Passengers are more likely to tip because you’re making their trip more convenient.
When a passenger adds an extra stop, you’ll be instantly notified in the app.
The Lyft app will guide you to the passenger’s first stop.
Confirm with the passenger first, then tap ‘Ready to go’ to be directed to the final destination.
