Passengers tell us they’ll take longer trips if they can be requested in advance, especially to the office or airport (if available in your city). That’s why we’re now offering scheduled rides with passengers in select cities.
Earn more on scheduled rides. Passengers can schedule original Lyft rides only, so you’ll see more of those requests. We’ll also add any predicted Prime Time to their ride cost, and charge higher cancellation fees.
Pick up passengers the same way. Passengers can schedule their ride up to 24 hours early, but Lyft only sends you the request when it’s time to head to the pickup location. Simply accept and go, just like any other ride.
Stick to the requested time. If you get there early, tap to arrive. We’ll alert the passenger while you park in a safe, legal spot. You’ll start getting paid once they arrive or at the scheduled time, whichever comes first — and if they run late, you’re paid for time spent waiting.
Get paid for cancellations. The fee is $10, twice the normal amount since scheduled rides require a bit more coordination on our end. Just make sure to follow the usual cancellation steps to qualify.
