Phoenix Drivers: Know Your New Year’s Eve Pickup Zones

As one of our busiest nights of the year, New Year’s Eve creates major opportunities to earn — and provide five-star experiences for new passengers. To help every ride go smoothly, stick to these recommended pickup and drop-off locations while you're driving at Phoenix's biggest events this weekend.

 

Special New Year’s Bonus

To say thank you for your time on the road this weekend we’re going to reward the top 11 drivers in PHX who give the most rides this weekend with a special bonus!

The driver that gives the most rides from 12 PM MST Friday, Dec. 30 through 5 AM MST Monday, Jan. 2 will receive a $500 cash bonus, and the next top 10 drivers will receive an additional $100 bonus each. In the event of a tie, the driver with the most hours online during the incentive period will win.

Decadence Arizona NYE 2016 at Rawhide

With an enormous lineup of electronic dance music heavyweights on both Friday and Saturday including Deadmau5, Marshmello, and the Chainsmokers, Decadence is sure to be one of the biggest events this weekend! The show starts at 7 PM both days. Expect highest demand from 1 - 3 AM.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Exit I-10 on either Pecos Rd or 347 / Queen Creek Rd and head west.

From Pecos Rd turn south on 40th Street, then east on Willis Rd, south on 48th Street, then follow the signs to the Rideshare pickup location, located on 48th Street between Wild Horse Pass Rd and N Loop Rd.

From 347 / Queen Creek Rd turn north on Maricopa Rd and west on 48th Street, then follow the signs to the Rideshare pickup location, located on 48th Street between Wild Horse Pass Rd and N Loop Rd.

 

New Year’s Eve Block Party at Crescent Ballroom

Crescent Ballroom always throws one of the biggest New Year’s parties in downtown Phoenix and this year is no exception. The party starts at 8 PM Saturday. Expect peak demand from 2 - 3 AM.

Pick Up and Drop Off

2nd Ave in front of Crescent Ballroom will be closed for the Block Party. For easiest pick up and drop off, use 2nd Ave, just north of Crescent Ballroom, south of Fillmore Street.

 

Champagne Ball 2016 at El Hefe & Whiskey Row in Tempe

Even though there won’t be an official Tempe Block Party this year, El Hefe & Whiskey Row are still throwing a major bash that encompases a good portion 6th Street. Gates open at 4 PM, Saturday. Expect peak demand from 2 - 3 AM.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Ask your passengers to meet you on Maple Avenue just north of the block party, or on the east side of Mill on 6th Street.

 

Scottsdale Entertainment District

Nearly every bar and club in Scottsdale’s Entertainment District will be throwing a New Year’s Eve bash, including Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, El Hefe and W Scottsdale. This is always one of our highest demand areas of the entire Valley, so you can expect back-to-back requests for most of the event. Expect peak demand from 8 - 10 PM Saturday as partiers head to the clubs, then again from 12:30 - 3 AM as they head home.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Remember, pickups and drop-offs are prohibited on Camelback Road. While you're in the Entertainment District, stick to the inner lane of the horseshoe. Stopping in the outer lane isn't allowed. For easier pickups, try parking in the public parking lot just south of International.

 

NYE³ Party at Talking Stick Resort

Talking Stick Resort hosts some of the biggest parties in the Valley all year long, and New Year's Eve is no exception! Live entertainment starts at 9:30 PM Saturday. Expect peak demand from 2 - 3 AM.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Pick up passengers from the designated Rideshare Pickup Zone near the west entrance to the casino, which is accessible by turning north on Dobson off Talking Stick Way, then following the signs to the west entrance. You can drop off passengers at the main casino entrance.

 

New Year's Eve Arizona at The Saguaro Hotel

New Year’s Eve at The Saguaro starts at 9 PM Saturday, with events running through 2 AM. Expect highest demand from 2 - 3 AM Saturday.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Head to the main entrance of the hotel on 1st Avenue, between Buckboard Trail and Drinkwater Boulevard.

New Year's Bonus Terms

Only rides in the PHX region from 12 PM MST Friday, Dec. 30 through 5 AM MST Monday, Jan. 2, and no more than two rides from the same passenger will count towards this incentive. Drivers must have a weekly acceptance rate of 90% or higher for the week of 12/26/2016 to qualify. Winners will be announced the week of January 9, 2017. Bonuses will be paid on or before the week of January 16, 2017.
