We all know long rides are the best, but they sometimes come at a cost — quite literally. When tunnels, bridges and turnpikes start taking a toll, we’ve got you covered. Here are three easy ways to quickly get reimbursed for tolls: 1. Sign Up for E-Tolls We cannot recommend this enough. Electronic toll collection systems like FasTrak or TollTag not only help you avoid citations or inconvenient stops when you don’t have cash on you, but they also make reimbursement a cinch. Simply highlight any Lyft-related tolls, and send in your statement to firstname.lastname@example.org. (Check out this list for your area’s E-toll provider.)
2. Get a Printed Receipt If you don’t want to use an E-toll system or don’t have one available in your area, just get a printed receipt, put your passenger’s name on it after you drop them off, snap a photo, and send it to email@example.com. Our support team crosschecks rides and receipts, so having the passenger’s name will make their job easier and ensure you get reimbursed even faster.
3. Send in Receipts Pronto We will gladly cover any toll incurred while picking up or dropping off a passenger, but if you send in a pile of receipts that are more than a month old, we cannot refund you — so send ‘em in A-sap!
We want you to take long rides, regardless of any toll plaza or tariffed tunnel standing in your way. That’s why we’ll gladly reimburse you for the money you spend on the journey. Just make sure you stay on top of it. To read more about toll reimbursement, check out the Help Center.
